Don't be late. Early is better. If necessary plan your route and check out what the parking is like. Turn up calm and relaxed - not flustered after a mad rush to find a car parking space.
Do your homework. Find out as much about the company as you can in advance of the interview. Visit their web site or try and get a copy of their brochure.
You may be asked to fill in an application form at the interview, so try and prepare some likely answers in advance. A lot of people complain about these forms - they just fill in some brief details and enclose their CV. Not a good idea. Employers like you to show that you are keen and prepared to put a bit of effort in. Remember - from the moment you walk in to the reception you are on interview.
Be organised. Bring all the necessary certificates, references and your CV with you, neatly contained in a file. Interviewers are always impressed with an organised approach.
Be positive. Don't worry about the other interviewees; focus on doing the best you can.
Look smart. First impressions count.
A little enthusiasm goes a long way, so don't just answer yes or no. Be yourself. If you get the job, then you might end up working there for some time, so don't put on a show that isn't really you just to get the job.
